"Kurtiss Russell of KR Designs was commissioned to design an extension and some additional internal alterations to a house. He attended promptly and at the agreed time to take detailed measurements of the whole property and produced some initial ideas and designs very quickly and detailed plans thereafter.

Attention to client need – he discussed needs and wishes, and handled client questions and discussion with confidence and respect. Suggestions were assimilated or reasons given as to why they could not be. Choices in design and Building Regulation Planning provision were offered and he was able to make suggestions as to other professionals whose input was required.

Designs – the drawings of the chosen designs were detailed and professionally presented. They were readily able to be used by the quoting builders and later the chosen one. A Schedule of Works was also suggested.

Handling problems – Kurtiss uncovered some potential difficulties with the site which would have added time and expense. Designs were adapted; issues were explored with the relevant authority and chased up until resolved so that the intended work was not delayed.
